Founded in 1959. Asia's premier international graduate school of engineering and management, the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) caters to the growing technological and managerial human resources needs of the region. AIT has three schools:

AIT also offers Academic Programs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City as AIT-Vietnam.

The AIT Extension runs short-term non-degree programs as life-long learning opportunities for practicing engineers, scientists and managers throughout Asia.

AIT is financed by international donors, such as the Asian Development Bank, the European Union, and the Governments of Thailand, Japan, France, Swesen, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Switzerland, and many other countriesthroughout the world, and a number of other multilateral agencies. AIT Board of Trustees is mainly composed of senior civil servants, and ambassadors of donar countries and partners.

Over 14,000 AIT alumni hold key positions in private and public sectors throughout the Asian region.
